VALOUR – CHANGE THE WORLD

Check out the new music video to “Change the World” This was one of the most challenging projects to work on, but I’m pretty happy with the outcome. Valour was a great collaborator to work with and really had to put his faith in us to make this video a reality. He is also just an all around awesome dude and I hope to work with him again in the future.

Check out Valour’s new EP on itunes now.

Another big thanks to Andrew Montero, the man is a beast and I’m blessed to work with someone as hard working as him.

LOST -Featuring Casper

I am so proud of this video. Andrew and I had such an amazing time filming this video and we are both proud of the outcome. I ask that you listen closely to the lyrics and let them penetrate your heart. So many people feel or have felt lost at one point in their life and I just hope that this video speaks to you today.

Fearless – Ammunition Conference 2013 Opener

A year ago I shot a video not knowing that I would be re-editing and re shooting parts of it to make a finalize the opener for this years Ammunition Conference. We used all of the footage in the promotional work, then when it came time to the conference we added in one new final scene. We needed a reason for Aaron to jump, and what better reason then to save the person he loves.

Cassey and Aaron are troopers!! The final shots of the day consisted of them jumping into ice cold pool water, in 60 degree weather. I was in the water ( thankfully in a wet suit) and I was still freezing, but thats what made this one of the best experiences of my life. Also it was a great opportunity to once again collaborate and shoot side by side with Andrew Montero, who also spent the next 13.5 hours at my house editing with me through the night.

This video is different than conference openers in the past, but it was nice to change it up and open the conference in a way no one was expecting.

Special thanks to Mike and Kimberly Loche for letting use their pool, and wet suit.

Shot on a 5D Mark II and Canon 7D and a GoPro Hero 2

GOOD NEWS

Every morning since I can remember while I eat breakfast and prepare my meals for the day I always have the news playing on TV. Sitting there with my dad listening to one bad news story after the other. Usually the only good news story is at the very end of the telecast as if they want to make sure you leave on a good note, but it does not really do much since you just sat through 29 minutes of filth.

What if we had the power to change the news? The Bible talks about the “Good News” as the gospel. The message that someone came to this earth with one purpose and one purpose only. To die for you. How its that “good news” ?  You see because of one man’s death we have the ability to live with a greater purpose, and filled with a greater hope knowing that we have a God who has great and amazing plans for our lives. Once we accept this and believe it in our heart our lives will begin to radically change and our situations wont seem so drastic anymore. I know this because I’ve not only seen it in countless others, but myself as well.

Ammunition Conference 2013 -Promotional Spots

Screen shot 2013-01-12 at 10.29.13 AM

Last year, a week after Ammunition Conference 2012, I got an idea about what I wanted to do for Ammo 2013, after seeing and hearing that it was going to be called “Fearless”. I went out to Knightsferry and shot a few different shots in about an hour or so. Not only is it some of my favorite footage I’ve captured, but its been really exciting to see that its stuck as part of the branding for the conference even a year later!

Now let me set the record straight,  Aaron did lots of stunts that day, but he did not actually jump off a cliff, thats the magic of filmmaking.

All was shot on a 7D using After Effects and Magic Bullet looks for color grading. Also the extreme slow motion shots were accomplished by using the software twixtor.

Here are all 3 promotional spots I made for the 2013 Ammunition Conference, starting with the most recent. Its interesting to see the different  styles of each video, even though 99% of it is all the same footage. Thats the power of editing I guess. I hope you’ve enjoyed these videos over the past year, each one presented its unique set of challenges, but was fun to piece together.

ILLUMINATE – LET IT BANG – Rize N Shine Music

Honestly one of the best shooting experiences I’ve ever had. The attitude on set was filled with love and excitement for what we were doing. Got to work along side Andrew Montero through rain and shine that day (literally). I hope that this music video not only entertains but encourages you.
